Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brothers, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, desiring to speak with him.
There came then his brothers and his mother, and, standing outside, sent unto him, calling him.
After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.
His brothers therefore said unto him, Depart from here, and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see the works that you do.
For neither did his brothers believe in him.
Have we not the right to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?
But other of the apostles saw I none, except James the Lord's brother.

Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them who were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. But other of the apostles saw I none, except James the Lord's brother. Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not. Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judea which were in Christ: But they had heard only, That he who persecuted us in times past now preaches the faith which once he destroyed. And they glorified God in me.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. But other of the apostles saw I none, except James the Lord's brother. Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not. Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judea which were in Christ: But they had heard only, That he who persecuted us in times past now preaches the faith which once he destroyed. For before certain men came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them who were of the circumcision.
It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, who told these things unto the apostles.
Among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children.

For I speak to you Gentiles, since I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify my office:
