Holy of holies » The high priest » Made atonement for
and reconcile the holy sanctuary and the tabernacle of witness and the altar, and shall make an atonement also for the priests and for all the people of the congregation.
Then shall he kill the goat that is the people's sin offering, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the ox, and let him sprinkle it toward the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat: and reconcile the holy place from the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and from their trespasses and all their sins. And so let him do also unto the tabernacle of witness that dwelleth with them, even among their uncleannesses.
And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place and the tabernacle of witness and the altar, let him bring the live goat
Holy of holies » A type of heaven
For Christ is not entered into the holy places, that are made with hands, which are but similitudes of true things: but is entered into very heaven, for to appear now in the sight of God for us.
For he looketh down from his sanctuary; out of the heaven doth the LORD behold the earth,
neither by the blood of goats, and calves: but by his own blood, we entered once for all into the holy place, and found eternal redemption. For if the blood of oxen, and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer, when it was sprinkled, purified the unclean, as touching the purifying of the flesh:

And under the walls of the house he made galleries round about, both round about the temple and also the quyre. And so made sides round about.
And he sealed twenty cubits in the end of the temple, both floor and walls, with Cedar, and dressed it within to be the quyre and place most holy.
And the quyre was twenty cubits long, and twenty in breadth and twenty in height. And he sealed it with pure gold, and boarded the altar with Cedar.

And thou shalt hang up the veil with rings, and shall bring in within the veil, the ark of witness. And the veil shall divide the holy from the most holy.
and brought the ark into the habitation and hanged up the veil and covered the ark of witness, as the LORD commanded Moses.

And make two cherubims of thick gold on the two ends of the mercy seat; and set the one cherub on the one end and the other on the other end of the mercy seat: so see that thou make them on the two ends thereof. And the cherubims shall stretch their wings abroad over on high, and cover the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another: even to the mercy seat ward, shall the faces of the cherubims be. read more.

And the other two wings of them touched one another in the midst of the house. And he overlaid the Cherubs with gold.

And Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, "I have found the book of the law in the temple of the LORD." And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

And he said unto Moses, "Speak unto Aaron thy brother that he go not at all times into the holy place, that is within the veil that hangeth before the mercy seat which is upon the ark; that he die not. For I will appear in a cloud upon the mercy seat. But of this manner shall Aaron go in into the holy place: with a young ox for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
"And Aaron shall bear the names of the children Israel in the breastlap of example upon his heart, when he goeth into the holy place, for a remembrance before the LORD always.

And the LORD said unto Moses, "Bring Aaron's rod again before the witness to be kept for a token unto the children of rebellion, that their murmurings may cease from me, that they die not."

and shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle thereof seven times before the LORD: even before the hanging of the holy place.
