and LORD said to Moses, Speak to Aaron thy brother, that he not come at all times into the holy place within the veil, before the mercy-seat which is upon the ark, that he not die, for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy-seat Aaron shall come into the holy place this way: with a young bullock for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering.

And Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goes in to the holy place, for a memorial before LORD continually.


And that which is left of it Aaron and his sons shall eat. It shall be eaten without leaven in a holy place. They shall eat it in the court of the tent of meeting.


The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the tent of meeting.

Every male among the priests shall eat of it. It is most holy. And no sin-offering, from which any of the blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement in the holy place, shall be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire.



And behind the second curtain, the tabernacle called the Holy of holies,


And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. He made it with cherubim, the work of the skilful workman. And he made for it four pillars of acacia, and overlaid them with gold. Their hooks were of gold, and he cast for them four sockets of silver.


And thou shall make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. With cherubim the work of the skilful workman shall it be made. And thou shall hang it upon four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, their hooks [shall be] of gold, upon four sockets of silver. And thou shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring in there within the veil the ark of the testimony. And the veil shall separate to you between the holy place and the most holy.
