Then he would return to Ramah, for there was his house, and there he judged Israel, and there he built an altar unto the LORD.
Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him from among his brethren; and the Spirit of the LORD prospered David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.
And they rose up in the morning early and worshipped before the LORD and returned and came to their house to Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her. Therefore, it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, she bore a son and called his name Samuel, , saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.
Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house in Gibeah of Saul.
Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together and came to Samuel in Ramah
