"Wherefore behold: I will call her again, bring her into a wilderness, and speak friendly unto her. There will I give her, her vineyards again; yea, and the valley of Achor also, to show her hope and comfort. Then shall she sing there as in the time of her youth, and like as in the day when she came out of the land of Egypt. Then, sayeth the LORD, she shall say unto me, 'O my husband,' and shall call me no more Baal. read more.
For I will take away those names of Baal from her mouth, yea she shall never remember their names any more. Then will I make a covenant with them, with the wild beasts, with the fowls of the air, and with everything that creepeth upon the earth. As for bow, sword and battle, I will destroy such out of the land, and will make them to sleep safely. Thus will I marry thee unto mine own self forevermore: yea even to myself will I marry thee, in righteousness, in equity, in loving-kindness, and mercy. In faith also will I marry thee, unto myself, and thou shalt know the LORD. At the same time will I show myself friendly and gracious unto the heavens, sayeth the LORD: and the heavens shall help the earth, and the earth shall help the corn, wine, and oil, and they shall help Jezreel. I will sow them upon earth, for a seed to mine own self, and will have mercy upon her, that was without mercy. And to them which were not my people, I will say, 'Thou art my people.' And he shall say, 'Thou art my God.'"

therefore have I not turned me to destroy Ephraim in my wrathful displeasure. For I am God, and no man: I am even that holy one in the midst of thee, though I came not within the city. The LORD roareth like a lion, that they may follow him. Yea, as a lion roareth he, that they may be afraid like the children of the sea: that they may be scattered away from Egypt, as men scare birds: and frayed away, as doves used to be, from the Assyrians' land: and that because I would have them tarry at home, sayeth the LORD.
Therefore shall sorrows come upon him, as upon a woman that travaileth. An indiscreet son is he: for he considereth not, that he should not have been able to have endured in the time of his birth, had not I defended him from the grave, and delivered him from death. O death, I will be thy death: O hell, I will be thy sting.
Ephraim, what have ye any more to do with idols? I have healed him and looked on him. I will be as a great fir tree, and of me shall thy fruit be found.

By this river upon both the sides of the shore, there shall grow all manner of fruitful trees, whose leaves shall not fall off, neither shall their fruit perish: but ever be ripe at their months, for their water runneth out of the Sanctuary. His fruit is good to eat, and his leaf profitable for medicine.
Who satisfieth thy desire with good things, making thee young and lusty as an Eagle?
And he shall be like a tree planted by the waterside, that will bring forth his fruit in due season. His leaf, also, shall not wither; and, look, whatsoever he doeth, it shall prosper.
Ephraim, what have ye any more to do with idols? I have healed him and looked on him. I will be as a great fir tree, and of me shall thy fruit be found.
They shall also bring forth more fruit in their age, and shall be fat and well liking,
For he shall be as a tree, that is planted by the waterside: which spreadeth out the root unto moistness, whom the heat cannot harm, when it cometh, but his leaves are green. And though there grow but little fruit because of drought yet is he not careful, but he never leaveth off to bring forth fruit.

By the hand of thy messengers thou hast railed on the Lord and said, 'With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, even along by the sides of Lebanon, and have cut off the high Cedar trees, and the lusty fir trees thereof, even to the wood of Carmel that belongeth thereto!
For thorns, there shall grow Fir trees, and the Myrtle tree in the stead of briers. And this shall be done to the praise of the LORD, and for an everlasting token, that shall not be taken away.
Yea even the fir trees and Cedars of Lebanon rejoice at thy fall, saying, 'Now that thou art laid down, there come no more up to destroy us.'
I plant in the waste ground trees of Cedar, Box, Mire and Olives. And in the dry I set Fir trees, Elms, and Hawthorns together.
The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee: The fir trees, Boxes and Cedars together, to garnish the place of my Sanctuary, for I will glorify the place of my feet.
