But this I say, He who sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he who sows in blessings shall also reap blessings. Each one according as they purpose in their heart, so let them give, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
Take heed not to do your alms before men, to be seen of them; otherwise, ye have no reward of your Father who is in the heavens. Therefore, when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They already have their reward.
