The high priests, therefore, and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, "What are we doing? because This Man is doing many signs. If we let Him thus alone, all will believe on Him; and the Romans will come, and take away both our place and our nation. But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said, "Ye know nothing at all; read more.

Jesus, therefore, was no longer openly walking about among the Jews; but He went away thence into the country near to the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim, and there He abode with the disciples.

But the Pharisees, having gone out, held a consultation against Him, that they might destroy Him. But Jesus, knowing it, withdrew thence; and many followed Him, and He healed them all. And He charged them, that they should not make Him known;
