And there followed him great multitudes from Galilee, and Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judaea, and beyond Jordan.

And, when He came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.

But Jesus, knowing it, withdrew thence; and many followed Him, and He healed them all.

And Jesus with His disciples withdrew to the sea; and a great multitude from Galilee followed Him; and from Judaea,

And Jesus, having heard it, withdrew thence, in a boat, into a desert, apart. And the multitudes, hearing of it, followed Him on foot from the cities.

But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed Him; and, having welcomed them, He was speaking to them concerning the Kingdom of God, and those having need of cure He healed.

And a great multitude was following Him, because they were beholding the signs which He was doing on the sick.

And large multitudes followed Him; and He healed them there.

And it comes to pass that He reclines at table in his house, and many tax-collectors and sinners recline with Him and His disciples; for there were many, and they were following Him.

And He went away with him; and a great multitude was following Him, and they were thronging Him.

And, hearing these things, Jesus marvelled at him; and, turning, He said to the multitude following Him, "I say to you, not even in Israel did I find such faith!"

And, moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and straightway they received sight; and followed Him.

And Jesus said to him, "Go your way, your faith has healed you." And straightway he received sight, and was following Jesus in the way.

And instantly he received sight, and was following Him, glorifying God. And all the people, seeing it, gave praise to God.

And, as Jesus was passing on thence, two blind men followed Him, crying out, and saying, "Have mercy on us, O Son of David!"

And His disciples followed Him, as He entered into a boat.

And a certain young man was following with Him, having a linen cloth thrown around his naked body; and they lay hold on him;

who, when He was in Galilee, were following Him, and ministering to Him; and many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem.

And Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. And that disciple was known to the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the court of the high priest;

And, walking by the sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers. And He saith to them, "Come after Me, and I will make you fishers of men." And, immediately leaving their nets, they followed Him.

And, passing along by the sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, Simon's brother, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishers. And Jesus said to them, "Come after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men." And straightway, leaving the nets, they followed Him.

And, having brought their boats to the land, leaving all, they followed Him.

And going on a little further, He saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, and those in the ship mending the nets. And straightway He called them; and leaving their father Zebedee in the boat, with the hired servants, they went away after Him.

And Jesus, passing on thence, saw a man, called Matthew, sitting at the tax-office, and He saith to him, "Follow Me." And, rising up, he followed Him.

And passing by, He saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax-office, and saith to him, "Follow Me." And, rising up, he followed Him.

And, after these things, He went forth, and beheld a tax-collector, Levi by name, sitting at the tax-office; and He said to him, "Follow Me." And, having forsaken all, rising up, he followed Him.

On the morrow, He wished to go forth into Galilee; and He findeth Philip, and saith to him, "Follow Me." Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip finds Nathanael, and says to him, "We have found Him of Whom Moses in the law and the prophets wrote??esus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph."

Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me."

And Jesus, looking on him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing is wanting to you: go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven, and come, follow Me."

And Jesus, hearing it said to him, "Yet one thing is lacking to you; sell all that you have, and distribute to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven, and come, follow Me." And, when he heard these things, he became very sorrowful; for he was exceedingly rich.

And He said to another, "Follow Me." But he said, "Lord, permit me, going away, first to bury my father." And He said, "Leave the dead to bury their own dead; but, going, publish abroad the Kingdom of God."

For it was signified to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now I mean this: that each one of you is saying, "I am of Paul;" and "I of Apollos;" and "I of Cephas:" and "I of Christ!" Hath Christ been divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were ye immersed into the name of Paul?

Then said Jesus to His disciples, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me; for whosoever wishes to save his soul shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose his soul for My sake shall find it; for what will a man be profited, if he gain the whole world, and suffer damage as to his soul? or what will a man give as an exchange for his soul?

And, calling the multitude to Him with His disciples, He said to them, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whosoever would save his soul shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his soul for My sake and the Gospel's, shall save it. For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and suffer damage as to his soul?read more.
Or what could a man give as an exchange for his soul?

And He said to all, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whosoever wishes to save his soul shall lose it; but whosoever will lose his soul for My sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man profited, in having gained the whole world, but having lost or forfeited himself?

"He that loves father or mother more than Me, is not worthy of Me; and he that loves son or daughter more than Me, is not worthy of Me. And whosoever does not take up his cross, and follow Me, is not worthy of Me. "He that finds his life shall lose it; and he that loses his life for My sake shall find it.

Now there were journeying with Him great multitudes; and, turning, He said to them, "If any one comes to Me, and hates not his own father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, and, further, his own soul also, he cannot be My disciple. And whosoever does not bear his own cross, and come after Me, cannot be My disciple.read more.
For who of you, wishing to build a tower, does not, first, sitting down, calculate the expense, whether he has enough for its completion? lest, perhaps, having laid a foundation, and not being able to finish it, all who behold begin to mock him, saying, 'This man began to build, and was not able to finish!' "Or what king, going on to engage another king in war, does not, sitting down, first take counsel, whether he is able, with ten thousand, to meet him who is coming against him with twenty thousand? And, if not by any means, while he is yet afar off, sending an embassy, he asks conditions of peace. "So, therefore, every one of you who does not renounce all his own goods, cannot be My disciple.

And Jesus answereth them, saying, "The hour has come, that the Son of Man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say to you, unless the grain of wheat, having fallen into the ground, dies, it abides alone; but, if it dies, it bears much fruit, He who loves his soul loses it; and he who hates his soul in this world will keep it unto life eternal.

And a scribe, coming near, said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow Thee wheresoever Thou mayst go." And Jesus saith to him, "The foxes have dens; and the birds of the heaven have lodging-places; but the Son of Man hath not where to lay His head."

And, as they were journeying in the way, a certain one said to Him, "I will follow Thee wheresoever Thou goest." And Jesus said to him, "The foxes have dens; and the birds of the heaven lodging-places; but the Son of Man hath not where to recline His head."

And another said, "I will follow Thee, Lord; but first permit me to bid adieu to those within my house." And Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to a plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God."

From this time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him.

When, therefore, He washed their feet, and took His garments, and reclined again, He said to them, "Do ye know what I have done to you? Ye call Me 'The Teacher,' and 'The Lord;' and ye say well; for so I am. If, therefore, I, 'The Lord,' and 'The Teacher,' washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet;read more.
for I gave you an example, that, as I did to you, ye also should do. Verily, verily, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor one who is sent greater than he who sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye, if ye do them.

Now this He spake, signifying by what manner of death he would glorify God. And, having spoken this, He saith to him, "Follow Me."

and I persecuted this Way unto death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women;

But I confess this to you, that, according to the Way which they call 'heresy,' so I worship the God of our fathers, believing all those things, which are according to the law, and which have been written in the prophets;

Now the God of patience and of consolation grant you to be of the same mind one with another, according to Christ Jesus:

Become imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

And ye became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation with joy of the Holy Spirit;

For what glory is it, if, when sinning and being beaten, ye endure it? but, if, when doing well and suffering for it, ye endure it, this is acceptable with God. For to this were ye called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow His steps; Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;read more.
Who, when reviled, reviled not again; when suffering, was not threatening, but committed Himself to Him Who judgeth righteously;

These are those who were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. These were redeemed from among men, a first fruit to God and to the Lamb.

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them; because He is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful."

Then Peter, answering, said to Him, "Behold, we left all, and followed Thee; what, then, shall we have?" And Jesus said to them, "Verily I say to you, that ye who followed Me, in the regeneration, when the Son of Man shall sit upon the throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And every one who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive manifold more and shall inherit eternal life.read more.

Peter began to say to Him, "Behold, we left all, and followed Thee." Jesus said, "Verily I say to you, there is no one who left house, or brothers, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for My sake and the Gospel's sake, but he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.read more.
But many that are first shall be last; and the last first."

And Peter said, "Behold, having left our possessions, we followed Thee." And He said to them, "Verily I say to you there is no one who left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children for the sake of the Kingdom of God, who shall not receive manifold more in this time, and in the coming age eternal life."

Again, therefore, Jesus spake to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world: he that follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the Light of life."

If any one serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am there will also My servant be. If anyone serve Me, him will My Father honor.

Simon Peter says to Him, "Lord, where art Thou going?" Jesus answered, "Where I go, you cannot follow Me now; but you will follow Me later."
