AND after six days Jesus took Peter, and James, and John, his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his garments were white as the light. And behold there appeared to them Moses and Elijah conversing with him. read more.
And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here; if you please, we will make here three tabernacles, one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. While he was yet speaking, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them; and behold a voice from the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; hear him. And when they heard this the disciples fell on their faces, and were greatly afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. And lifting up their eyes they saw no man, except Jesus alone. And when they went down from the mountain Jesus charged them, saying, Tell no man the vision till the Son of man is raised from the dead.

And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and we will make three tabernacles, one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah; for he knew not what he answered, for they were afraid. And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came from the cloud, This is my beloved Son; hear him. And looking round immediately they no longer saw any one but Jesus alone with them. And coming down from the mountain he charged them to tell no man what they had seen, till the Son of man should have risen from the dead. And they kept the word, inquiring with themselves what the rising from the dead meant.
