Now Jesus stood before the governor. “Are You the King of the Jews?” the governor asked Him.
Jesus answered,“You have said it.”
Jesus answered,
They began to accuse Him, saying, "We found this man subverting our nation, opposing payment of taxes to Caesar, and saying that He Himself is the Messiah, a King." So Pilate asked Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?" He answered him, "You have said it."
They twisted together a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and placed a reed in His right hand. And they knelt down before Him and mocked Him: "Hail, King of the Jews!" Then they spit at Him, took the reed, and kept hitting Him on the head.
