We have also obtained access through Him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
True enough; they were broken off by unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid.

I have written you this brief letter through Silvanus (I know him to be a faithful brother) to encourage you and to testify that this is the true grace of God. Take your stand in it!
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.
