And when he had come to the opposite side, into the country of the Gadarenes, there met him two men, coming out of the tombs, possessed with demons, very fierce, so that no one could pass that way. And behold, they cried out, saying: What have we to do with thee, Jesus, Son of God? Hast thou come hither to torment us before the time? Now there was, at a distance from them, a herd of many swine, feeding. read more.
And the demons besought him, saying: If thou cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine. And he said to them: Go. And when they had come out, they went away into the herd of swine. And behold, the whole herd of swine rushed down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

Now a great herd of swine was feeding there near the mountain. And the demons besought him, saying: Send us to the swine, that we may enter into them. And Jesus immediately gave them leave. And the unclean spirits came out and entered into the swine; and the herd (they were about two thousand,) rushed down a steep place into the sea, and were strangled in the sea. read more.
And those who fed them fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they came out to see what had been done;

And there was in that place a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain. And they besought him to permit them to go into them. And he permitted them. And the demons came out of the man, and went into the swine; and the herd rushed down a steep place into the lake, and were drowned.
