But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and house divided against house falleth. And if Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? For ye say that I cast out the demons through Beelzebul. When a strong man armed guardeth his palace, his goods are in peace; but when one stronger than he cometh upon him and overcometh him, he taketh from him his whole armor wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
