But if you go with them, do it! Be strong for battle! But God will make you stumble before the enemy, for God has the power to help or to make one stumble.”

By His power He stirred the sea,
and by His understanding He crushed Rahab.

God has spoken once;
I have heard this twice:
strength belongs to God,

Greater than the roar of many waters—
the mighty breakers of the sea—
the Lord on high is majestic.

The Lord is slow to anger but great in power;
the Lord will never leave the guilty unpunished.
His path is in the whirlwind and storm,
and clouds are the dust beneath His feet.

Now to Him who has power to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation about Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept silent for long ages

to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ—to Him be the glory forever! Amen.

He stretches the northern [skies] over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing. He enfolds the waters in His clouds, yet the clouds do not burst beneath their weight. He obscures the view of [His] throne, spreading His cloud over it. read more.
He laid out the horizon on the surface of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness. The pillars [that hold up] the sky tremble, astounded at His rebuke. By His power He stirred the sea, and by His understanding He crushed Rahab. By His breath the heavens gained their beauty; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent. These are but the fringes of His ways; how faint is the word we hear of Him! Who can understand His mighty thunder?

I applied my mind to seek and explore through wisdom all that is done under heaven. God has given people this miserable task to keep them occupied. I have seen all the things that are done under the sun and have found everything to be futile, a pursuit of the wind. What is crooked cannot be straightened; what is lacking cannot be counted. read more.
I said to myself, "Look, I have amassed wisdom far beyond all those who were over Jerusalem before me, and my mind has thoroughly grasped wisdom and knowledge." I applied my mind to know wisdom and knowledge, madness and folly; I learned that this too is a pursuit of the wind.
