The disciples, therefore, said to Him, "Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover!" Now Jesus had spoken concerning his death; but they thought He spake of taking rest in sleep. Then, therefore, Jesus said to them plainly, "Lazarus died. And I am glad, for your sakes, (in order that ye may believe), that I was not there. But let us go to him." Thomas, who is called Dydimus, said, therefore, to His fellow-disciples, "Let us also go, that we may die with Him."
