On the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: and Jesus and His disciples were invited to the marriage. And they had no wine, because the wine of the marriage was exhausted. Then the mother of Jesus says to Him, There is no wine. read more.
And Jesus says to her, What is that to me and to thee? O woman, my hour is not yet come. His mother says to the servants, Do whatsoever He may say to you. And there were six waterpots of stone sitting there according to the purification of the Jews, containing about two or three firkins. Jesus says to them, Fill the waterpots with water. They filled them to the brim. And He says to them, Now draw out and carry to the chief ruler of the feast, and they brought it to him. And when the ruler of the feast tasted the water, having been made wine, and did not know whence it is (but the servants having drawn the water knew), the ruler calls the groom, and says to him, Every man first sets forth the good wine; and when they have drunk freely, the inferior: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. Jesus did this, the beginning of miracles, in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed on Him.
