After this, I saw, and beheld a great multitude, which no one could number, out of every nation, and tribe, and people, and language, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palms in their hands; and they cry with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb! And all the messengers stood round about the throne, and about the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell down on their faces, before the throne, and worshiped God; read more.
saying, Amen: the blessing, and the glory, and the wisdom, and the thanksgiving, and the honor, and the power, and the strength, be to our God for ever and ever: Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying to me, As for those who are clothed with white apparel, who are they, and whence do they come? And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who have come out of much tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb: therefore, they are before the throne of God, and serve him, day and night, in his temple; and he who sits upon the throne, pitches his tabernacle over them. They shall hunger no more, neither shall they thirst any more; nor shall the sun fall upon them, nor any heat: for the Lamb, who is in the midst of the throne, shall feed them, and he shall lead them to fountains of living water; and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.

Be subject, therefore, to every human establishment for the Lord's sake; whether to the king, as supreme; or to governor, as those sent by him for the punishment, indeed, of evil doers; but for the praise of them who do good. For so is the will of God, that, by doing good, you put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.
