Take fast hold of chastening; do not let go; keep this; for it is thy life.

For the prudence of the flesh is death, but the prudence of the Spirit, life and peace,
Hope deferred makes the heart sick: but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.
The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that has it, but the instruction of fools is folly.

The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life, but the mouth of the wicked covers violence.
The wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

For we now know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold unto subjection by sin.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
