They reproached him, and said, You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses. We know that God spoke to Moses, but we know not whence this man is. The man answered and said to them, It is a strange thing, that you know not whence he is, and he has opened my eyes. We know that God hears not sinners; but if one is a worshipper of God, and does his will, him he hears. Since the world began it has not been heard that any one opened the eyes of one born blind; unless this man was from God he would have been able to do nothing. They answered and said to him, You were born entirely in sins, and do you teach us? And they cast him without. Jesus heard that they had cast him without, and finding him he said to him, Do you believe in the Son of God? And he answered and said, Who is he, sir, that I shall believe on him? Jesus said to him, You have both seen him, and he that speaks to you is he. And he said, Lord, I believe, and worshipped him.
