Thematic Bible
Botany » Laws of nature in the vegetable kingdom uniform in action
Be not deceived, God is not mocked. For what a man sows, that shall he also reap;
You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorns? or figs from thistles? So every good tree bears good fruits, but a bad tree bears bad fruits; a good tree cannot bear bad fruits, nor a bad tree good fruits.
For there is no good tree which bears bad fruit, nor, again, a bad tree which bears good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For they do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from brambles.
Foolish man, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies; and what you sow, you sow not the body which shall be, but the naked grain, it may be of wheat, or some of the other grains; but God gives it a body as he pleases, and to each of the grains its own body.
