However rejoice not in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rather rejoice that your names are written in heaven. At this time Jesus was transported with joy in his spirit and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and knowing, and hast revealed them to babes: even so, Father, for such was thy good pleasure. All things are delivered to me by my Father: and none knoweth who the Son is, but the Father: and who the Father is, but the Son; and he to whom the Son pleaseth to reveal Him. And turning to the disciples, He said to them in particular, Blessed are the eyes that see what ye see: for many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye see, and did not see them; and to hear what ye hear, but did not hear them.
