And He spoke to His disciples, It is impossible for offenses not to come: but woe unto him, through whom they come; it is good for him if a millstone is hung around his neck, and he is cast into the sea, rather than that he may offend one of these little ones. But if he may sin against thee seven times a day, and seven times turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed. you should say to this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up, and planted in the sea; and it would obey you. But which one of you, having a servant plowing or serving a shepherd, who will say to him, having come in from the field, Coming hither sit down immediately? But will he not say to him, Prepare what I may sup, and girding thyself, minister unto me, until I may eat and drink; and after these things you eat and drink? Whether does he thank the servant because he did the things which were commanded? Likewise also, when you may do those things which are commanded you, say that, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which we ought to do.
