And the angel came in unto her and said, Hail, thou that art much graced, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his words and wondered in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. Then Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an eternal sign that shall not be cut off.
