And, having left Nazareth, having come, He dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the borders of Zebulon and Naphtali; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, "Land of Zebulon and land of Naphtali, by way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations: read more.
The people that were sitting in darkness saw a great Light; and to those sitting in a region and shadow of death Light arose."

And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and He went, according to His custom, into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up to read. And there was given to Him a book of the prophet Isaiah; and, opening the book, He found the place where it had been written, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me; because He anointed Me to publish good tidings to the poor; He hath sent Me to proclaim release to captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to send away the crushed in freedom. read more.

"And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and no one of them was cleansed, except Naaman, the Syrian." And all in the synagogue were filled with wrath, on hearing these things; and, rising up, they cast Him forth out of the city, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built, to throw Him down headlong; but He, passing through their midst, was going His way.
