But Mary stood without near the tomb, weeping; and as she wept, she stooped down and looked into the tomb, and saw two angels in white raiment, sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the foot, where the body of Jesus had lain. And they said to her: Woman, why do you weep? She said to them: They have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.


And they went out quickly from the sepulcher, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And as they were going to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying: Hail! And they came and laid hold of his feet, and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them: Fear not; go, tell my brethren to go into Galilee, and there they shall see me.

Having said this, she turned back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her: "Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek? Supposing that it was the gardener, she said to him: Sir, if you have taken him hence, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus said to her: Mary.
