And they came to Jericho: and as he went out ofJericho, with his disciples and a great number of people, Bartimaeus the son of Timaeus, which was blind, sat by the highways side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry and to say, "Jesus, the son of David, have mercy on me." And many rebuked him, that he should hold his peace. And behold, two blind men sitting by the wayside, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried, saying, "Master, the son of David have mercy on us." And the people rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: But they cried the more, saying, "Have mercy on us, Master, which art the son of David." read more.
