In the morning as he returned into the city again, he hungered, and spied a fig tree in the way, and came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said to it, "Never fruit grow on thee hence forwards." And when his disciples saw that, they marveled saying, "How soon is the fig tree withered away!" Jesus answered, and said unto them, "Verily I say unto you, if ye shall have faith, and shall not doubt, ye shall not only do that which I have done to the fig tree: but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, take thyself away, and cast thyself into the sea, it shall be done. And whatsoever thing ye shall ask in your prayers if ye believe, ye shall receive it."

And on the morrow, when they were come out from Bethany, he hungered, and he spied a fig tree afar off, having leaves, and went to see whether he might find anything thereon: but when he came thereto, he found nothing but leaves. For the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said to it, "Never man eat fruit of thee hereafter while the world standeth." And his disciples heard it.

And in the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up by the roots. And Peter remembered, and said unto him, "Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst, is withered away." And Jesus answered, and said unto them, "Have confidence in God. read more.
Verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, 'Take away thyself, and cast thyself into the sea'; and shall not waver in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he sayeth shall come to pass, whatsoever he sayeth shall be done to him. Therefore I say unto you, Whatsoever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye shall have it and it shall be done unto you.
