And when they draw nigh to Jerusalem and to Bethany, to the Mount of Olives, He sends away two of His disciples, and says to them, Go into the village over against you: and immediately entering into it, you will find a colt tied, on which no one of men has ever sat; loosing him, lead him away. And if any one may say to you, Why do you this? say to him, that the Lord hath need of him; and immediately he sends him hither. read more.
Then they departed, and found the colt tied at the door without at the crossing of the road; and they are loosing him. And certain ones of those standing there said to them, What are you doing, loosing the colt? And they said to them as Jesus commanded: and they permitted them. And they lead the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and He sat on him. And many strewed their garments in the road; and others were cutting down the branches of the trees, (and strewing them in the road), And those going before, and those following after, continued to cry out, Hosanna: blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord: blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David: Hosanna in the highest! And He came into Jerusalem, into the temple; and looking round upon all things, the hour being already late, He went out into Bethany along with the twelve.

And a dispute came in among them, as to which one of them might be the greater. And Jesus seeing the dispute of their heart, taking a little child, He placed it by Himself, and said to them, Whosoever may receive this little child in my name receives me; and whosoever may receive me receives him that sent me. Because the days will come upon thee, and thine enemies will cast a fortification about thee, and surround thee, and press in on thee from all directions, and will slay thee, and thy children in thee; and will leave in thee not a stone upon a stone; because thou hast not known the time of thy visitation.
