Mark 11:1

And, when they draw nigh to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, He sendeth two of His disciples,

Mark 11:2

and saith to them, "Go into the village that is over against you; and straightway, as ye enter into it, ye will find a colt tied, on which no man ever yet sat: loose him, and bring him.

Mark 11:3

And, if any one say to you, 'Why do ye this?' say ye, 'The Lord hath need of him;' and straight-way he will send him back hither."

Mark 11:4

And they went away, and found a colt tied at the door without on the street; and they loose him.

Mark 11:5

And some of those standing there said to them, "What do ye, loosing the colt?"

Mark 11:6

And they said to them even as Jesus said; and they let them go.

Mark 11:7

And they bring the colt to Jesus, and cast on him their garments; and He sat on him.

Mark 11:8

And many spread their garments in the way; and others spread branches, having cut them from the fields.

Mark 11:9

And those going before, and those following, were crying, "Hosanna! Blessed is He That cometh in the name of the Lord!

Mark 11:10

Blessed is the coming Kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the Highest!"

Mark 11:11

And He entered into Jerusalem, into the temple; and, having looked around on all things, the hour being late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.

Mark 11:12

And on the morrow, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry.

Mark 11:13

And, seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, He came, if perhaps He might find something thereon. And, having come to it, He found nothing but leaves; for it was not the season of figs.

Mark 11:14

And, answering, He said to it, "May no one eat fruit from you any more forever!" And His disciples heard it.

Mark 11:15

And they come to Jerusalem. And, entering into the temple, He began to cast out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of those who sold doves;

Mark 11:16

and He was not permitting that any one should carry a vessel through the temple.

Mark 11:17

And He was teaching, and said to them, "Has it not been written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations;' but ye have made it a den of robbers!"

Mark 11:18

And the high priests and scribes heard it, and were seeking how they might destroy Him; for they were fearing Him, for all the multitude was astonished at His teaching.

Mark 11:19

And, whenever it became late, they went forth out of the city.

Mark 11:20

And, passing by the next morning, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

Mark 11:21

And Peter, calling to remembrance, says to Him, "Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which Thou didst curse has withered away!"

Mark 11:22

And Jesus, answering, saith to them, "Have the faith of God.

Mark 11:23

Verily I say to you, whosoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says comes to pass; he shall have it.

Mark 11:24

Therefore, I say to you, all things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye received them, and ye shall have them.

Mark 11:25

And whensoever ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any; that your Father also Who is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses."

Mark 11:27

And they come again into Jerusalem. And, as He was walking about in the temple, the high priests and the scribes and the elders come to Him;

Mark 11:28

and said to Him, "By what authority art Thou doing these things! Or who gave Thee this authority to do these things!"

Mark 11:29

And Jesus said to them, "I will ask you one thing; and answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.

Mark 11:30

The immersion of John, was it from Heaven, or from men? Answer Me."

Mark 11:31

And they reasoned with themselves, saying,

Mark 11:32

"If we say, 'From Heaven,' He will say, 'Why then did ye not believe him!' But, should we say, 'From men,'"??hey feared the people; for all held John to be a prophet indeed.

Mark 11:33

And, answering, they say to Jesus, "We do not know." And Jesus saith to them, "Neither do I tell you by what authority I am doing these things."
