They answered and said unto him - If this one had not been doing, mischief, unto thee, had we not delivered him up.

And they put up, over his head, his accusation, written - THIS, IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

And the inscription of his accusation, had been inscribed - THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Now there was an inscription also, over him - THE KING OF THE JEWS, THIS!
And Pilate wrote a title also, and placed on the cross; and there was written - JESUS, THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS. This title, therefore, read many of the Jews, because, near, was the place to the city where Jesus was crucified; ad it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, in Greek.
