And as He was sitting at table in the house of Matthew, behold, several publicans and notorious sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why doth your master eat with publicans and sinners? But Jesus hearing them, said unto them, They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill: go therefore and learn what that means, read more.
"I desire mercy rather than sacrifice:" for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance. Then also come to Him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the pharisees fast much, but thy disciples do not fast? And Jesus said unto them, Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, while the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then they will fast. As no one putteth a piece of new cloth to an old garment; for its new patch teareth away from the old garment, and the rent is made worse: nor do they put new wine into old vessels; otherwise, the casks burst, and the wine is spilt, and the vessels are destroyed: but they put new wine into new vessels, and both are preserved.

Then He spake a parable to them, That no one putteth a piece of new cloth upon an old garment: otherwise, the new maketh a rent, and doth not match the old: nor doth any one put new wine in to old vessels; otherwise, the new wine will burst the casks, and be spilled, and the vessels will be destroyed: but new wine must be put into new vessels, and then both are saved. And no one that has been drinking old wine, immediately desireth new; for he saith, the old is better.

And as Jesus was passing from thence, He saw a man sitting at the custom-house, named Matthew; and He saith to him, Follow me: and he rose up and followed Him. And as He was sitting at table in the house of Matthew, behold, several publicans and notorious sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

And as He went along, He saw Levi the son of Alpheus, sitting at the receit of custom, and saith unto him, Follow me: and he rose up and followed Him. And as He sat at table in his house, many publicans and sinners also sat down with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed Him.
After these things He went out and saw a publican named Levi, sitting at the custom-house, and said to him, Follow me: and he left all, rose up, and followed Him. And Levi made Him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great number of publicans, and others at table with them.
