and great multitudes of people followed Him from Galilee, and Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, yea and from beyond Jordan.

Now as he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.

but Jesus knew it, and withdrew from thence; and great multitudes followed Him with their sick,

but Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea.

And when Jesus heard it, He departed from thence in a ship to a solitary place of retirement: but the people hearing where He was followed Him on foot from the cities:

But when the people knew it they followed Him; and He received them, and spake to them concerning the kingdom of God, and healed those that had need of a cure.

And a great multitude followed Him, because they saw his miracles which He performed on them that were diseased.

And as He sat at table in his house, many publicans and sinners also sat down with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed Him.

So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him, and pressed about Him.

And when Jesus heard these things, He marvelled, and turning about, said to the multitude that followed Him, I declare unto you, I have not found so great faith, no not in Israel.

And Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes; and straightway their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way, thy faith has cured thee. And he immediately recovered his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

And as Jesus was going from thence, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, Have compassion on us, O Son of David.

And when He was entered into the ship, his disciples followed Him:

who had only a linen cloth wrapt about him, and the young men laid hold on him;

who also when He was in Galilee, followed Him and waited on Him: and several others who came up to Jerusalem with Him.

And Simon Peter and another disciple followed Jesus. And that other disciple being known to the high priest went in with Jesus into the high-priest's hall.

Now as Jesus was walking by the sea of Galilee, He saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; (for they were fishermen:) and He saith unto them, Come with me, and I will make you fishers of men: and they immediately left their nets, and followed Him.

And as Jesus was passing from thence, He saw a man sitting at the custom-house, named Matthew; and He saith to him, Follow me: and he rose up and followed Him.

And as He went along, He saw Levi the son of Alpheus, sitting at the receit of custom, and saith unto him, Follow me: and he rose up and followed Him.

After these things He went out and saw a publican named Levi, sitting at the custom-house, and said to him, Follow me: and he left all, rose up, and followed Him.

The day following Jesus had a mind to go out into Galilee, and meeting with Philip, saith unto him, Follow me. Now Philip was of Bethsaida the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip meeting Nathaniel, saith unto him, We have found Him, of whom Moses in the law, and of whom the prophets also wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Jeseph.

Jesus replied, If thou wouldst be perfect, go, sell thy estate, and give it to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come and follow me.

Then Jesus looked upon him with affection, and said to him, One thing thou wantest; go, sell all that thou hast, and give it to the poor; and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross and follow me.

But when Jesus heard these things He said unto him, Thou yet wantest one thing, Sell all that thou hast, and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. But when he heard this, he was very sorrowful; for he was very rich.

And He said to another, Follow me: but he said, Lord, permit me to go first and bury my father: but Jesus said unto him, Leave the dead to bury their dead; but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by some of Chloe's family, that there are contentions among you. I mean, that each of you saith, as if of different parties, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, I of Cephas, and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized into the name of Paul?

Then said Jesus to his disciples, If any one is willing to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me: for he that would save his life shall lose it; but he that would lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give as a ransom for his soul?

And calling the people and his disciples to Him, He said unto them, Whosoever is willing to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me: for he that would save his life, shall lose it; but he that would lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?read more.

And He said unto them all, if any one is willing to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me: for he that would save his life shall lose it, but he that would lose his life for my sake shall save it. For what is a man profited, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be destroyed?

He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me: and he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that would save his life shall lose it; and he, that loseth his life for my sake, shall find it.

Now there were great multitudes going along with Him: so he turned and said to them, If any man come to me, and does not comparatively hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and follow me, cannot be my disciple.read more.
For who of you that hath a mind to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expence, whether he hath wherewithal to perfect it? least having laid a foundation and not being able to finish, all that see it, should deride him, saying, this man began to build and was not able to finish. Or what king, going to engage with another king in battle, doth not sit down first and consult, whether he be able with ten thousand men to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? and if not, while he is yet far off, he sendeth an embassy, and desireth conditions of peace. So, every one of you, that doth not give up all that he hath, cannot be my disciple.

And Jesus answered them saying, The time is come that the Son of man is to be glorified. Though I tell you indeed and in truth, Except a grain of wheat fall into the ground and die, it remaineth alone; but if it die, it produceth much fruit. So he, that loveth his life, shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, shall preserve it unto life eternal.

And a certain scribe came to Him, and said, Master, I will follow Thee whithersoever Thou goest: and Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the fowls of heaven their nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

And as they were going by the way, there was one said to Him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest: and Jesus answered him, The foxes have holes, and the fowls of heaven their nests, but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee, but allow me first to go and take my leave of my family. But Jesus said unto him, No one, that hath put his hand to the plough and looketh back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

From this time many of his disciples went away, and walked no more with Him.

And when He had washed their feet, and taken his clothes about Him, He sat down again, and said to them, Do ye know the intent of what I have been doing to you? Ye call me, Master, and Lord; and ye say well; for so I am. If I then your Lord and Master have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet.read more.
For I have given you an example, that ye also should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord, nor is the messenger greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye, if ye do them.

This He said, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when He had said this, He saith unto him, Follow me.

And I persecuted those of this persuasion even unto death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.

But this I confess unto thee, that after the way, which they call heresy, so do I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law, and the prophets:

And may the God of patience and consolation grant you the like mutual affection to each other, according to the example of Christ Jesus:

Be ye then imitators of me, as I also am of Christ.

And ye became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word tho' in much affliction, yet with joy of the holy Ghost.

For what glory is it, if when ye sin and are punished for it, ye bear it patiently? but if when ye do well and suffer for it, ye bear it patiently, this will gain favor with God. For unto this are ye called; because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye might follow his steps. Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:read more.
who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously.

These are they who were not defiled with women; for they are virgins: these are they who follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth: these were redeemed from among men, as the first-fruits unto God and the Lamb.

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and those that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Then Peter replied and said unto Him, Behold we have quitted all and have followed thee; what then shall we have? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I tell you, that ye who have followed me, in the regeneration, when the son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon the twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel: yea and every one who hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, shall receive an hundred-fold, and shall inherit eternal life.read more.

Then said Peter, Behold, we have quitted all, and followed Thee. And He said unto them, Verily I tell you, there is no one that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive manifold more even in this life, and in the world to come life everlasting.

Then spake Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he, that followeth me, shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

If any man would serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: and if any one serve me, him will my Father honour.

Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, whither art thou going? Jesus answered him, Whither I am going thou canst not follow me now, but thou shalt follow me hereafter.
