And king Herod heard his name; (for it was manifest:) and said, That John the Immerser was raised from the dead, and for this the powers were energetic in him.

And John having heard in prison the works of Christ, having sent two of his disciples,

Then began he to blame the cities in which were his greatest powers, because they repented not.

And having come into his native land, he taught them in their assembly, so that they were struck with amazement, and said, Whence to him this wisdom, and powers?

And sabbath having come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing were struck with amazement, saying, Whence to this one these things? and what this wisdom given to him, that such powers are done by his hands?

And he already drawing near to the descent of the mount of Olives, all the multitude of the disciples, rejoicing, began to praise God with a great voice for all the powers which they saw;

And I have greater testimony than of John: for the works that the Father gave me that I might finish them, the same works that I do, testify of me, that the Father has sent me.

Jesus answered them, I said to you, and ye believe not: the works which I do in my Father's name, these testify of me.



And it was when Jesus finished these parables, he removed thence. And having come into his native land, he taught them in their assembly, so that they were struck with amazement, and said, Whence to him this wisdom, and powers? Is not this the son of the carpenter? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? read more.
And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then to him all these? And they were scandalized in him. And Jesus said to them, A prophet is not unhonoured, except in his native land, and in his house. And he did not many powers there, because of their unbelief.

And he came out thence, and came to his native land; and his disciples follow him. And sabbath having come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing were struck with amazement, saying, Whence to this one these things? and what this wisdom given to him, that such powers are done by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Jude, and Simon and are not his sisters here with us? And they were scandalized in him. read more.
And Jesus said to them, That a prophet Is not unhonoured, except in his native land, and in kinsmen, and in his house. And he could do no power there, except having laid his hands upon a few sick, he cured. And he wondered for their unbelief. And he went about the towns teaching.


And having come into his native land, he taught them in their assembly, so that they were struck with amazement, and said, Whence to him this wisdom, and powers?

And sabbath having come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing were struck with amazement, saying, Whence to this one these things? and what this wisdom given to him, that such powers are done by his hands?

And it was when Jesus finished these words, the crowds were struck with amazement at his teaching:

If a man receive circumcision in the sabbath, that the law of Moses be not loosed; rage not at me, because I made a man wholly well on the Sabbath.



How much then does a man surpass a sheep? So that it is lawful to do well in the sabbaths.

And according to custom to Paul, he went in to them, and upon three sabbaths discussed with them from the writings,

And quickly the man was well, and he took up his couch, and walked: and the sabbath was in that day.

And it was the sabbath, when Jesus made clay, and opened his eyes.


And they having passed from Perga, approached Antioch of Pisidia, and having come into the synagogue on the day of the sabbaths, they sat down.

And he came to Nazareth where he was brought up, and he went in, as was the custom to him in the day of the sabbaths, into the assembly, and stood up to read.

And he came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and he was teaching them on the sabbaths.

And sabbath having come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing were struck with amazement, saying, Whence to this one these things? and what this wisdom given to him, that such powers are done by his hands?

And it was also in another sabbath, he came into the assembly, and taught: and a man was there, and his right hand was withered.

And God will praise the seventh day, and will consecrate it, because in it he ceased from all his works which God formed to make.

And he was teaching in one of the assemblies in the sabbaths.
