But when the unclean spirit is gone out from a man, it goeth through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth it not. Then it saith, I will return to my house whence I came out. And on coming, it findeth it empty, and swept, and put in order. Then it goeth and taketh with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they enter in, and dwell there; and the last state of that man becometh worse than the first. So will it be also with this wicked generation.

When thine eye is clear, thy whole body also is in the light; but when it is disordered, thy body also is in darkness. Take heed therefore, that the light which is within thee be not darkness. If then thy whole body is enlightened, having no part dark, the whole will be as fully enlightened, as when a lamp with its bright shining giveth thee light.
