And as Jesus passed forth from thence he saw a man sit at the receipt of custom, named Matthew: and said to him, "Follow me." And he arose, and followed him.
And they straightaway left their nets, and followed him.
"Whosoever heareth of me these sayings, and doeth the same, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house on a rock:
And Simon answered, and said to him, "Master, we have laboured all night, and have taken nothing. Neverthelater, at thy word I will loose forth the net."
Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doth the same, I will show you to whom he is like.
And Jesus said unto them, "Fill the water pots with water." And they filled them up to the hard brim.
He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, the same is he that loveth me: and he shall be loved of my father, and I will love him, and will show mine own self unto him."

And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethpage, and Bethany, besides Mount Olivet, he sent forth two of his disciples, and said unto them, "Go your ways into the town that is over against you. And as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt bound, whereon never man sat: loose him and bring him hither. And if any man say unto you, 'Why do ye so?' say that the Lord hath need of him: and straightway he will send him hither." read more.
And they went their way, and found a colt tied by the door without, in a place where two ways met, and they loosed him. And divers of them that stood there, said unto them, "What do ye loosing the colt?" And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded them. And they let them go. And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him, and he sat upon him. And many spread their garments in the way. Others cut down branches of the trees, and strawed them in the way. And they that went before and they that followed, cried, saying, "Hosanna: blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Blessed be the kingdom that cometh in the name of him that is Lord of our father David. Hosanna in the highest." And the Lord entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple. And when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

All this was done, to fulfill that which was spoken by the prophet, saying, "Tell ye the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass used to the yoke." The disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, and brought the ass and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and set him thereon. And many of the people spread their garments in the way. And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, "Who is this?" And the people said, "This is Jesus the Prophet of Nazareth, a city of Galilee."

And when he was now come where he should go down from the Mount Olivet, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice, and to laud God with a loud voice, for all the miracles that they had seen, saying, "Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest." And some of the Pharisees of the company, said unto him, "Master, rebuke thy disciples." He answered, and said unto them, "I tell you, if these should hold their peace, the stones would cry." And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept on it, saying, "If thou hadst known those things which belong unto thy peace, even at thy time: But now are they hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee; that thy enemies shall cast a bank about thee, and compass thee round and keep thee in on every side; And make thee even with the ground, with thy children which are in thee. And they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another, because thou knowest not the time of thy visitation."

And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept on it, saying, "If thou hadst known those things which belong unto thy peace, even at thy time: But now are they hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee; that thy enemies shall cast a bank about thee, and compass thee round and keep thee in on every side; And make thee even with the ground, with thy children which are in thee. And they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another, because thou knowest not the time of thy visitation."
On the morrow much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus should come to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went and met him, and cried, "Hosanna, blessed is he that in the name of the Lord cometh, King of Israel." These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that such things were written of him, and that such things they had done unto him. The people that was with him, when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from death, bare record. Therefore met him the people, because they heard that he had done such a miracle. The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, "Perceive ye, how we prevail nothing? Behold, all the whole world goeth away after him."
