Thematic Bible: May be rendered ineffectual
Thematic Bible
God » Grace of » May be rendered ineffectual
What our eyes do see is Jesus, who was made for a while lower than angels, now, because of his sufferings and death, crowned with glory and honour; so that his tasting the bitterness of death should, in God's loving-kindness, be on behalf of all mankind.
Therefore, as God's fellow-workers, we also appeal to you not to receive his loving-kindness in vain.
Of this Good News I became a minister, in virtue of the charge with which God entrusted me in the exercise of his power--
No; the gift that God gives is for a nobler end; and that is why it is said--'God is opposed to the haughty, but gives help to the humble.'
I do not reject the love of God. If righteousness comes through Law, then there was no need for Christ to die!
