And while the bridegroom delayed, all slumbered and slept; but at midnight there was a cry, Behold the bridegroom; go out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their own lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, Give us of your oil, for our lamps have gone out. But the wise answered, saying, [No]; lest there be not enough for us and you; go rather to those that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy the bridegroom came; and the ready went in with him to the wedding, and the door was shut. And afterwards the other virgins came, and said, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, I tell you truly I know you not.
