Now the Jewish passover was near, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

When he was in Jerusalem at the festival of the passover, many people believed in his name, as they witnessed the Signs which he performed.

He said to them, "I have longed eagerly to eat this passover with you before I suffer,

On the first day of unleavened bread the disciples of Jesus came up and said to him, "Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the passover?" He said, "Go into the city to so-and-so; tell him that the Teacher says, 'My time is near, I will celebrate the passover at your house with my disciples.' " So the disciples did as Jesus had told them, and prepared the passover. read more.
When evening came he lay at table with the disciples,

Every year his parents used to travel to Jerusalem at the passover festival; and when he was twelve years old they went up as usual to the festival.

After this there was a festival of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

But after his brothers had gone up to the festival, he went up too, not publicly but as it were privately.


After these events Paul resolved in the Spirit to travel through Macedonia and Achaia on his way to Jerusalem. "After I get there," he said, "I must also visit Rome."

After a lapse of several years I came up with alms and offerings for my nation,

This was because Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, to avoid any loss of time in Asia; he wanted to reach Jerusalem, if possible, by the day of Pentecost.

while we sailed from Philippi, after the days of unleavened bread, and joined them five days later at Troas. There we spent seven days.

he said goodbye to them, telling them, "I will come back to you, if it is the will of God." Then, sailing from Ephesus,

because it is not more than twelve days, as you can easily ascertain, since I went up to worship at Jerusalem.
