And there were some Greeks of those who went up to Jerusalem to worship at the feast; these, therefore, came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, Sir, we wish to see Jesus. Philip went and told Andrew, and again Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus.

Philip said to him, Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be satisfied. Jesus said to him, Have I been so long a time with you and have you not known me, Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father; and how say you, Show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words which I speak to you I speak not of myself, but the Father continuing in me, he does the works. read more.
Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me; but if not, believe on account of the works themselves. I tell you most truly, he that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go to the Father; and whatever you ask in my name I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, We have found him of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote, Jesus, the son of Joseph, from Nazareth. And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip said to him, Come and see. Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and said of him, See an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile. read more.
Nathanael said to him, Whence do you know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree I saw you. Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel. Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to you I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You shall see greater things than these.

Then Jesus lining up his eyes, and seeing many people come to him, said to Philip, Whence shall we buy bread that these may eat? But this he said to try him; for he knew what he was about to do. Philip answered him, Two hundred denarii [$28] worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that each may take a little.
