And when he had said this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were afraid when they entered into the cloud. And there was a voice from the cloud, saying, This is my chosen Son; hear him. And when the voice had passed, Jesus was found alone. And they were silent and told no man in those days any thing of what they had seen.

And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here; if you please, we will make here three tabernacles, one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. While he was yet speaking, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them; and behold a voice from the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; hear him. And when they heard this the disciples fell on their faces, and were greatly afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. And lifting up their eyes they saw no man, except Jesus alone. And when they went down from the mountain Jesus charged them, saying, Tell no man the vision till the Son of man is raised from the dead.
