For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; but we were eye-witnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came to him from the magnificent glory a voice, such as this: This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight. And this voice, which came from heaven, we heard when we were with him in the holy mount;
And after six days, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up into a high mountain apart: and he was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his clothing was white as the light. Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to his disciples: Sit here, till I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be in deep distress and anguish of soul. Then he came to his disciples, and said to them: Bleep what time is left, and take your rest; behold, the hour draws near, and the Son of man is delivered into the hands of sinners. Arise, let us go; behold, he that delivers me up is at hand.

And when he came to the place, he said to them: Pray, that you enter not into temptation. And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and kneeled down, and prayed, saying: Father, if thou art willing that this cup should pass from me yet, not my will, but thine be done. read more.
