Thematic Bible: Pretorium

Thematic Bible

Then the Jews led Jesus from Caiaphas to the Praetorium (governor’s palace). Now it was early and the Jews did not enter the Praetorium so that they would not be [ceremonially] unclean, but might [be able to] eat [and participate in the Feast of Unleavened Bread which began after] the Passover [supper].

So Pilate went into the Praetorium again, and called Jesus and asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”

He went into the Praetorium again and said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” But Jesus did not answer him.

he said, “I will hear your case when your accusers have arrived,” giving orders that Paul be kept under guard in Herod’s Praetorium (the governor’s official residence).

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium, and they gathered the whole Roman cohort around Him.

The soldiers led Him away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium), and they called together the entire [Roman] battalion [of 600 soldiers].

My imprisonment in [the cause of] Christ has become common knowledge throughout the whole praetorian (imperial) guard and to everyone else.
