The integrity and moral courage of the upright will guide them,
But the crookedness of the treacherous will destroy them.



The violence of the wicked will [return to them and] drag them away [like fish caught in a net],
Because they refuse to act with justice.

For we brought nothing into the world, and obviously we cannot take anything out of the world; But if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content (satisfied). But those who crave to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish (useless, godless) and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction and miserable perishing.

Anyone who runs on ahead and does not remain in the doctrine of Christ [that is, one who is not content with what He taught], does not have God; but the one who continues to remain in the teaching [of Christ does have God], he has both the Father and the Son.

Like a [careless] archer who [shoots arrows wildly and] wounds everyone,
So is he who hires a fool or those who [by chance just] pass by.


The eyes of the Lord keep guard over knowledge and the one who has it,
But He overthrows the words of the treacherous.


As for transgressors, they will be completely destroyed;
The future of the wicked will be cut off.


From the fruit of his mouth a [wise] man enjoys good,
But the desire of the treacherous is for violence.

For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the men of integrity, blameless and complete [in God's sight], shall remain in it; But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the treacherous shall be rooted out of it.


The wicked become a ransom for the righteous,
And the treacherous in the place of the upright [for they fall into their own traps].

And it shall be that from one New Moon to another New Moon and from one Sabbath to another Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me, says the Lord. And they shall go forth and gaze upon the dead bodies of the [rebellious] men who have stepped over against Me; for their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all mankind.

The righteous man who walks in integrity and lives life in accord with his [godly] beliefs—
How blessed [happy and spiritually secure] are his children after him [who have his example to follow].

As for me, You uphold me in my integrity,
And You set me in Your presence forever.
