Be reconciled with your adversary quickly, while you are in the way with him; lest the adversary may deliver you to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you may be cast into prison. Truly I say unto you, You can not go out from thence until you have paid the last farthing.
For as you go with your adversary to the ruler, give attention on the way that you be reconciled with him; lest he may deliver you to the judge, and the judge shall turn you over to the officer, and the officer will cast you into prison. I say unto you, You can by no means come out thence, till you have even paid the last mite.

Which one of you having a matter dares to go to law with another before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? Indeed it is already altogether a small matter to you, that you have law-suits one with another. Why do you not rather stiffer injustice? why are you not rather defrauded? But you inflict injustice, and defraud, and that your brethren.
