He who is slow to wrath is of great understanding, but he who is hasty of spirit exalts folly.
He who refuses instruction despises his own soul, but he who hears reproof gets understanding.
The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; all practicing them have good understanding; His praise stands forever.
Strike a scorner, and the simple will beware; reprove one who has understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
My son, if you will receive my words and hide my commandments with you, so that you attend to wisdom, you shall extend your heart to understanding; yea, if you cry after knowledge and lift up your voice for understanding; read more.
if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures, then you shall understand the fear of Jehovah and find the knowledge of God. For Jehovah gives wisdom; out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly. He keeps the paths of judgment, and guards the way of His saints. Then you shall understand righteousness and judgment and honesty, every good path.

Unless Your Law had been my delight, I should then have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your Commandments; for with them You have given me life. I am Yours, save me; for I have sought Your Commandments. The wicked have waited for me to destroy me; but I will think on Your testimonies. I have seen an end to all perfection; Your Commandment is exceedingly broad. MEM: Oh how I love Your Law! It is my meditation all the day. Through Your Commandments You make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers; for Your testimonies are my prayer. I understand more than the old men, because I keep Your Commandments.

By faith we understand that the ages were framed by a word of God, so that the things being seen not to have come into being out of the things that appear.
