I am become a very reproof among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours. And they of mine own acquaintance are afraid of me; they that see me in the street, convey themselves from me. I am clean forgotten, as a dead man, out of mind; I am become like a broken vessel.
Yea, even mine own familiar friend, whom I trusted, who did also eat my bread, hath lift up his heel against me.
Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me, and made me to be abhorred of them. I am so fast in prison that I cannot get forth.
My lovers and friends hast thou put away from me, and hid mine acquaintance out of my sight.
