He shall fly away as a dream and shall not be found: yea, he shall flee away as a vision of the night. The eye which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place behold him any more.

They were exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all others and cut off as the tops of the heads of grain.

Their inward thought is that their houses are eternal and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names. Why dost thou boast of evil, O strong man? The mercy of God is day by day. Thy tongue devises wickedness like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. Thou dost love evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. read more.
Thou dost love all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue. God shall likewise cast thee down for ever; he shall cut thee off and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah. The righteous also shall see and fear and shall laugh at him, saying: Behold, this is the man that did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, It is difficult that a rich man shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens. And again I say unto you, It is easier to put a cable through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. But his disciples hearing these things were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? read more.
But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Then Jesus, looking around, said unto his disciples, How hardly shall those that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answered again and said unto them, Children, how hard is it for those that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier to pass a cable through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. read more.
But they were astonished even more, saying in themselves, Who then can save himself? Then Jesus looking upon them said, For men it is impossible, but not for God because all things are possible for God.

And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How difficult it is for those that have riches to enter into the kingdom of God! For it is easier to put a cable through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. And those that heard it said, Who then can be saved? read more.
