My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh -- how long?

Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destruction, my precious life from the lions.

How long, Yahweh? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire?

Yahweh God of Armies, How long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?

How long, Yahweh? Will you hide yourself forever? Will your wrath burn like fire?

Relent, Yahweh! How long? Have compassion on your servants!

Yahweh, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?

Then the angel of Yahweh replied, "O Yahweh of Armies, how long will you not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which you have had indignation these seventy years?"

How long, Yahweh? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire?

Yahweh God of Armies, How long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?

Remove your scourge away from me. I am overcome by the blow of your hand.

Yahweh, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, Yahweh. Renew your work in the midst of the years. In the midst of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy.

Lord, according to all your righteousness, let your anger and please let your wrath be turned away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a reproach to all who are around us.

Turn us again, God. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved. Yahweh God of Armies, How long will you be angry against the prayer of your people? You have fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure. read more.
You make us a source of contention to our neighbors. Our enemies laugh among themselves. Turn us again, God of Armies. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.

Turn again, we beg you, God of Armies. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine, the stock which your right hand planted, the branch that you made strong for yourself. It's burned with fire. It's cut down. They perish at your rebuke. read more.
Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, on the son of man whom you made strong for yourself. So we will not turn away from you. Revive us, and we will call on your name. Turn us again, Yahweh God of Armies. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved. For the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. By Asaph.

In that day, people will look to their Maker, and their eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel.

They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction."

Return to him from whom you have deeply revolted, children of Israel. For in that day everyone shall cast away his idols of silver and his idols of gold -- sin which your own hands have made for you.

In those days, and in that time, says Yahweh, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together; they shall go on their way weeping, and shall seek Yahweh their God. They shall inquire concerning Zion with their faces turned toward it, [saying], Come, and join yourselves to Yahweh in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten. My people have been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray; they have turned them away on the mountains; they have gone from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting place.

Afterward the children of Israel shall return, and seek Yahweh their God, and David their king, and shall come with trembling to Yahweh and to his blessings in the last days.

"Come, and let us return to Yahweh; for he has torn us to pieces, and he will heal us; he has injured us, and he will bind up our wounds. After two days he will revive us. On the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him. Let us acknowledge Yahweh. Let us press on to know Yahweh. As surely as the sun rises, Yahweh will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth."

Won't God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don't answer; in the night season, and am not silent.

Yahweh, why do you reject my soul? Why do you hide your face from me?

It happened after ten days, that the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah.
