And the Pharisees and Sadducees, coming near, tempting Him, asked Him to show them a sign from the heaven; and He, answering, said to them, "When it is evening, ye say, 'It will be fair, for the heaven is red;' and in the morning, 'Today, a tempest; for red is the overcast heaven.' An evil and adulterous generation is seeking after a sign; and no sign will be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet." And, leaving them, He departed.

And straightway, entering into the boat with His disciples, He came into the parts of Dalmanutha. And the Pharisees came out, and began to discuss with Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, tempting Him. And, sighing deeply in His spirit, He saith, "Why does this generation seek a sign? verily I say to you, there shall no sign be given to this generation."
