Requirements » What the lord requires
Having heard everything, I have reached this conclusion: Fear God and keep his commandments, because this is the whole duty of man.

Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you except to revere him, to obey all his commandments, to love him, to serve him with all your mind and being, and to keep the Lord's commandments and statutes that I am giving you today for your own good?
With what should I enter the Lord's presence? With what should I bow before the sovereign God? Should I enter his presence with burnt offerings, with year-old calves? O Lord, my God, you have accomplished many things; you have done amazing things and carried out your purposes for us. No one can thwart you! You do not ask for burnt sacrifices and sin offerings.
